Lauren Boebert and Kid Rock Spotted Getting a Cab at 2:30 A.M. (original) (raw)
Lauren Boebert’s complicated private life got even more interesting Tuesday, after it was reported that the 38-year-old congresswoman got into a taxi with fellow right-wing firebrand Kid Rock, 54, at 2:30 a.m. on the night of the inauguration.
TMZ had previously revealed that the two enthusiastic advocates of President Donald Trump and the Second Amendment were partying together at one of the inaugural bashes, with a source saying: “Lauren was totally transfixed by the rock star, yapping away, doing a little dance, and clapping like she was front row at his concert—basically giving Kid Rock all the hype he needed.”
Now it seems they were keen to keep the conversation going into the even smaller hours, the New York Post reports.
They may, of course, just have been comparing notes on the hospitality business. Boebert is the former owner of Colorado bar Shooters, where customers were encouraged to bring their guns, and Kid Rock is the proprietor of Kid Rock’s Big A-- Honky Tonk and Rock & Roll Steakhouse in Nashville, Tennessee.
Both have also had their dating habits in the public eye in recent times.
Boebert divorced her husband, Jayson, in 2023. Jayson Boebert was later arrested on gun charges after a fight with his son Tyler escalated. The argument reportedly began with an inebriated Jayson sticking his thumb in his 18-year old son’s mouth in such a way as to cause his son to fear he was going to “pull his tooth out.”
Boebert was famously kicked out of a performance of Beetlejuice in Denver in 2023 after vaping and snapping pictures with a camera while apparently being, some fellow theatergoers felt, overly affectionate with a date.
For his part, Kid Rock, whose former flames include Pamela Anderson, recently turned a staid interview with the BBC into a speed date when, while chomping a cigar, he told the flustered British presenter that she sounded “sexy” and asked her out on a date. The awkward moment soon went viral.

Both Boebert and Kid Rock are known for their extreme and sometimes outlandish views. In a November 2024 hearing titled “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth,” Boebert questioned a panel of experts about whether reports of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) seen emerging from or diving into ocean waters meant there could be underwater alien bases or presences beneath the ocean’s surface.

In 2023 Kid Rock became a leading figure in the Budweiser boycott, triggered by Bud Light’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Kid Rock, born Robert James Ritchie, posted a video of himself shooting up cases of Bud Light. In a 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, he reportedly brandished a gun and used racial slurs.
When asked by the New York Post if they would like to comment on the claims the pair were seen taking off together after the inauguration party they were attending, Boebert’s rep said, “I think we’ll pass,” and Kid Rock’s people did not respond.
