Travis Kelce opened up about how his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, feels about him potentially retiring from the NFL.

"She's fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game," Travis, 35, said about Taylor, 35, while appearing on the Stephen A. Smith Show on Wednesday, January 15. "She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams."

The Kansas City Chiefs player added that having stability in his personal life due to his relationship with Taylor has made him a better player this season.

"That's the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft,” Travis said. “Focus on being the best version of you."

Travis noted that he’s “as focused as I’ve ever been on my job and being the best player I can possibly be, week in and week out for this team.” He continued, "And it's because I don't have to worry about things off the field."

While Taylor has attended many of Travis’ games since they started dating in the summer of 2023, the Ohio native said it was important for him to support her on her Eras tour before it concluded in December 2024.

"I wanted to be at the concerts supporting her and being there for her making sure she feels comfortable and supported in everything she's doing in life,” he explained.

During the same interview, Travis gushed that he and Taylor were in a great spot in their relationship. “I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and that comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium, man,” he said, referencing her attending his games.

Taylor has faced backlash for the attention she’s received when attending Travis’ games, and she clapped back at the criticism when she was named _Time_’s Person of the Year in December 2023. "When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves," she said at the time. "We're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care."

"The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone. And we're just proud of each other,” Taylor continued.

While the “So High School” singer hasn’t publicly said much about her romance with Travis, an insider exclusively told Life & Style that she was looking forward to spending more time with him now that her recording-breaking tour is over.

“After 21 months on the road and a year-and-a-half with Travis, Taylor is ready for this next chapter to begin with the love of her life,” the source said in a story published on January 9.

The insider added that the couple has “got a lot to look forward to, and they couldn’t be more excited about it.”
