They are now playing a crucial role in attracting deposits from the customers, providing advances to various sections of society and thereby giving a tough competition to the public sector banks (PSBs) not only in terms of quantity, but also in terms of quality. The private sector banks have brought in many new products like credit cards, debit cards. ATMs, internet banking etc. The PSBs have been forced to extend these facilities, which they are struggling to do, since decision making takes time. Private sector banks have also extending facilities like share trading, commodity trading, saving and current accounts and term deposits with new features. This has led to the situation, where the customers now opine that the private sector banks are aggressive and more tech savvy in their operations in attracting customers and in providing more and newer products to them, while the PSBs are less efficient and not quite forthcoming in extending new facilities to their customers. However, there is also a general opinion that the public sector banks are more secured compared to the private sector banks, since the former are backed directly by the Government, which provides a lot of satisfaction to their customers. The PSBs score over the private sector banks on one count, while the later score over the former on another count. This calls for a close scrutiny from the view point of customers regarding their preferences for the saving and investment products provided by the banks that belong to the two sectors with the help of primary data, which is the basic thrust of the present study.

Research paper thumbnail of An Engineering Perspective of External Cardiac Loop Recorder: A Systematic Review

Journal of Medical Engineering, 2016

External cardiac loop recorder (ELR) is a kind of ECG monitoring system that records cardiac acti... more External cardiac loop recorder (ELR) is a kind of ECG monitoring system that records cardiac activities of a subject continuously for a long time. When the heart palpitations are not the frequent and nonspecific character, it is difficult to diagnose the disease. In such a case, ELR is used for long-term monitoring of heart signal of the patient. But the cost of ELR is very high. Therefore, it is not prominently available in developing countries like India. Since the design of ELR includes the ECG electrodes, instrumentation amplifier, analog to digital converter, and signal processing unit, a comparative review of each part of the ELR is presented in this paper in order to design a cost effective, low power, and compact kind of ELR. This review will also give different choices available for selecting and designing each part of the ELR system. Finally, the review will suggest the better choice for designing a cost effective external cardiac loop recorder that helps to make it availa...

Side effects of sleep apnea may happen when a patient is not having any admittance to a doctor. Absence of access is the main source of information misfortune which is fundamental and basic in conclusion and treatment. Since the relationship between ECG sign and sleep apnea issue has been demonstrated and as per the way that other bio-signal cannot be recorded in the method of recording Holter ECG. In this examination, sleep apnea ages were distinguished by means of managed ECG information handling. The information is gathered from Physio net ATM. The detection method can be acquired by using time, frequency, and statistical features of Electrocardiogram signals. Apnea event detection using the extracted features is evaluated through different classifiers. Ensemble-Bagged Tree classifier has shown a higher accuracy of 89.6% with MIT-BIH ...

It discusses techniques for formulating such problems as discrete neural networks, and then it describes the N-Queen problem using this formulation. Finally results will be presented which compare the computation times for the custom computer against the simulation of the Hopfield network run on a high end workstation. In this way, the speed-up can be determined, that illustrate a speedup of up to 2 to 3 orders of magnitude is possible using current FPGAs devices. Key words: Hopfield neural network, field programmable gate arrays (FPGA), N-Queen problem.

The optic disc represents the entrance and exit sites of vascular and nervous structures, and its size and shape could be used in diagnostics and treatment of diseases, such as glaucoma. Several approaches have been proposed, the majority of which use intensity or shape based techniques. Recently, approaches that combine intensity, shape and information regarding vascular structures have been used with good results. In this paper, a method that combines information from the major blood vessels is investigated and compared with intensity and shape based techniques. The image that is employed to evaluate the proposed technique consists of both healthy and unhealthy retinas. The techniques used in this contribution result to a robust, fast and accurate technique for detection of the optic disc.

International Journal of Engineering and Advanced Technology

Due to the cardiac diseases called Ventricular Tachycardia (VT) and Ventricular Fibrillation (VF)... more Due to the cardiac diseases called Ventricular Tachycardia (VT) and Ventricular Fibrillation (VF) causes sudden cardiac death, it is crucial to recognize Ventricular Ectopic Beats (VEB) in Electrocardio- gram for the early diagnosis. There are many algorithms proposed earlier to classify the VEBs. Even though those algorithms achieved good accu- racy, the size of the feature set is large and not precise. In addition, earlier algorithms used feature reduction methods for reducing the feature set. Therefore, in this paper, we extracted only five features namely, Pre RR interval, post RR interval, QRS duration, QR slope, and RS slope. Later, we applied the Principle Component Analysis (PCA) for reducing the size of the feature set to observe the effect of Feature Reduction (FR) on the accuracy of VEB Classification. We applied different classifiers for classifying the cardiac beats in to normal and VEBs. Finally, using K-means Nearest Neighborhood (KNN) classifier and cubic Support Vec...

Antennas installed with doppler radar, which radiates and receives electromagnetic (EM) signals, are used for detecting heart rate vitality with the non-contact approach. In the previous literature, different antenna’s like metamaterial leaky-wave antenna, rectangular patch antenna with different polarizations as transmitter and receiver, and inverted F patch antenna were used to detect the HR. Each of these methods has its own merits and demerits. In this paper, a review has been done on the antenna design to detect the heart vibrations which infers the cardiac conduction rate in a non-contact approach along with its signal processing work for HR measurement. The design issues in the literature and their effects of the non-contact approach on the human body were discussed. Finally, the revi...
