A marble portrait of Ptolemy VIII Euergetes II (co-ruler with his brother, Ptolemy VI, 170-164 B.... more A marble portrait of Ptolemy VIII Euergetes II (co-ruler with his brother, Ptolemy VI, 170-164 B.C; sole ruler 145-116 B.C.) that was recently purchased for the Yale University Art Gallery's Collection is introduced here (2018.5.1). Subsequently, a rare Tetradrachm of Ptolemy VIII Euergetes II, minted at Paphos, 139/8 B.C., was also purchased for the Gallery's collection (2019.12.1; https://artgallery.yale.edu/collections/objects/276989).
