rapper Hopsin released a music video for his song 'No Words (Skit)' (Video 1 1 ). Though under tw... more rapper Hopsin released a music video for his song 'No Words (Skit)' (Video 1 1 ). Though under two minutes in length, Hopsin's skit is, in turn, a mordant screed about the state of rap and a parodic exaggeration of what Hopsin lambastes-essentially trap music (a genre of Southern rap). 2 The result is effectively a diss (disrespect) track, ensconced within an extensive lineage of impeachment-orientated hip hop songs. 3 However, unlike most diss tracks, Hopsin does not target a specific rival artist. Indeed, by opening with the line, 'Man, rap today fucking sucks bad,' Hopsin suggests a perniciously widespread epidemicone that has infected rap at large. 4
