Turkey is the leader of world marble production, and it is at the central point of the world marble trade between the west and the east. The sample is from the marble enterprises participating in the most significant international trade fairs, one of Turkey's most competitive sectors. Data of the study is from 53 respondents of 898 firms participated, among 200 national marble firm visits, using a survey method. Factor analyses resulted in four theoretical components of strategic orientations: opportunity orientation, learning orientation, technology orientation, and customer orientation. The correlation analyses' results showed that three strategic orientations (learning, technology, and opportunity orientation) have significant relations with technological innovativeness. Multiple regression analysis results revealed that opportunity orientation is the main predictor of technological innovativeness in the marble industry. From professionals' perspectives in the sector and researchers in innovation management, the study presents the significance of identifying opportunities for technological innovation. The study presents insights for both researchers and decisionmakers in the marble industry.

To attract more passengers or to generate extra income over non-aeronautical services, the airport decision-makers need to evaluate the quality of their services. This study aims at introducing an expanded approach to improve airport service quality aspects of the non-aeronautical business opportunities. Given the increasing number of airports, passengers prefer airports, which provide better or extra services compared to others. To reveal the airport service quality (ASQ) aspects, together with the quality department experts, we conducted a qualitative study that put forward six significant dimensions for an effective evaluation of airport service quality at an airport. Based on the results of the qualitative study, we designed the sector-specific questionnaire, and its empirical data is conducted over 250 passengers through a face-toface survey. Survey results ...

EduQUAL is the specific method of SERVQUAL assessment for measuring the service quality of educational services. This study contributes to the EduQUAL literature by extending with a new dimension covering the quality assessment of the core educational services with empirical evidence generated in 2019 over the secondary-school students of private schools operating in Turkey. Therefore, the current study aims to extend the EduQUAL assessment of the private chain schools and aims to which of these successful schools' service quality indicators predict student satisfaction and student loyalty. The study's data represents 305 students' perceptions of a private school operating in Turkey with more than 100 branches. The factor analysis results yield a new dimension related to core educational services. The regression analyses' results reveal that the core educational services predict only student satisfaction with other service quality indicators. Empathy-related services at schools are the most significant indicators of the EduQUAL both on student satisfaction and student loyalty.

Design/methodology/approach-Based on 174 responses gathered through a street survey method from 5 different universities in Turkey, data are analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences software (SPSS 16.0). Principal component analysis is performed to assess the differentiation in factors. Multiple regression analysis is used to examine the effects of the items on the post-millennials purchasing and recommendation behavior. Findings-The main findings revealed that the environmental concern trait of post-millennials triggers their green purchasing behavior. When the concern on green products is high, the awareness of perceiving that ''if the product is actually green or pretending to be green'' is high. When the postmillennials take the greenwashing perception into account, their environmental concern has...

To facilitate cross-cultural research, we validated an instrument measuring four employee silence motives (i.e., silence based on fear, resignation, prosocial, and selfish motives) in 21 languages. Across 33 countries (N = 8,222) representing diverse cultural clusters, the instrument shows good psychometric properties (i.e., internal reliabilities, factor structure, and measurement invariance). Results further revealed similarities and differences in the prevalence of silence motives between countries, but did not necessarily support cultural stereotypes. To explore the role of culture for silence, we examined relationships of silence motives with the societal practices cultural dimensions from the GLOBE Program. We fou...

The sample consists of 22 respondents and we reached them via snowball sampling technique. Grounding the research on the socioemotional selectivity theory, we attempt to explain the senior tourists’ objectives and motivations for travel and their consumption behaviour within the tourism industry. Findings reveal several preferences of senior tourists while traveling to a specific destination. They travel more frequently than before, still have the desire to explore new destinations as long as they are healthy, and love to socialize with people. They look for unique services during their travel experience. The study enlightens the field of senior tourism from a millionaires’ perspective for the researchers, practitioners, and marketers in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Furthermore, this study examines the effects of most frequently used and widely accepted twelve constructs on workplace-related employee attitudes on three types of innovation. Results mainly reveal that based on the data gathered as a self-reported survey over a hundred employees from the manufacturing industry in Turkey, only half-dozen of the attitudes differently connected with the three types of innovation. Concretely, incremental and imitation types of innovation have significant relations with employees' organizational related attitudes, and radical innovation has significant relations both with the job-related and organizational-related employee attitudes. The study sheds a light for innovation researchers and practitioners to make them consider which of the workplace related attitude of employees has a significant connection with which of the innovation type.

The central purpose was to consider the relationship between the propensity for wisdom and adopting an ecological perspective that is more compatible with long-term planetary sustainability. Other variables were considered. Students were more inclined to the New Ecological Paradigm [NEP], with a significant strong correlation between the level of wisdom and environmental concern. Stronger NEP and wisdom scores were positively correlated with subjective wellbeing and psychological wellbeing. Although there was no correlation between gender and wisdom, there was a positive correlation between wisdom and those with children as well as those who are partnered, suggesting the importance of experience in wisdom formation. Gender also did not correlate with environmental concern. Students reasonably strongly agreed with sustainability being a significant part of the Business degree curriculum. Further curriculum implications are provided.

Individual effects of the organizational support dimensions, namely: management support for generating and developing new business ideas, allocation of free time, convenient organizational structures concerning, in particular, decentralization level or decision-making autonomy, appropriate use of incentives and rewards, and tolerance for trial-and-errors or failures in cases of creative undertakings or risky project implementations, are also to be investigated. Design/methodology/approach -The study develops and tests a theoretical research model where the organizational support dimensions are the independent variables, innovative performance is the dependent variable, and the human capital has a moderating role in this relationship, via a questionnaire study covering 184 manufacturing firms in Turkey. Findings -Among the individual direct effects of the dimensions of organizational support, management support for idea development and tolerance for risk taking are found to exert positive effects on innovative performance. Availability of a performance based reward system and free time have no impact on innovativeness, while work discretion has a negative one. As for the role of human capital (HC), it is found to be an important driver of innovative performance especially when the OS is limited. However, when the levels of both HC and OS are high, innovative performance does not increase any further. Originality/value -Two distinct research streams, namely organizational support literature and human capital literature, have already focused on their individual impacts on the innovative performance. However, a combination of these separate streams was not tried before. The paper discusses and investigates what will happen when both positive drivers interact with each other. Moreover, it also investigates how organizational support and human capital are complementary.

Service industry differs from the manufacturing industry in many aspects like being intangible, no storage possibility, consumption and production at the same time and place, being highly perishable etc. but still innovation theories can also be used to describe changes in services and tourism industry.
