[**Current Mood** | okay]Hey yall. I have a question...hopefully someone here can help. A good friend of mine wants a mandolin... he is way into jambands & especially Younder Mountain & other bluegrass types. I'd like to give him a mandolin for his upcoming birthday/Christmas, but I dont want to spend a fortune. He doesnt know how to play, so a beginner type would be good...I dont really know anything about instruments/buying instruments. Can anyone recommend a good place to look for less expensive, beginner types, or does anyone have any clues or tips that would help me figure out if any one that Im looking at is good?I realize that for "less than a fortune" I wont be able to find a wonderful quality instrument...thats fine. Just a nice, beginner type would be good. I just dont know if I can trust any of the $50-150 types Ive found a lot of online. |
