Hi~ I don't know if anyone is still around here, but I recently visited Hitoyoshi, the area where Natsume Yuujinchou takes place, for the 3rd time. So I figured it might be useful to put together a list of all my travel report posts about it so far, because apparently people DO look at this stuff for reference - even though I write my posts more like travel diaries and less like a location database or travel guide with exact directions. But if anybody is looking for exact GPS coordinates for any of the locations mentioned in my posts, feel free to contact me and I can look them up for you!

Hey everyone~ Yesterday I went and saw both shows for the new Sound Theatre, so I wrote up a little report detailing the story and some of my impressions. Sorry it's a bit incoherent, I'm still really excited >ww< But if there's anyone curious what it was about, I hope it'll give you a bit of an impression.

Apparently a recording of the evening show is going to be released on DVD on May 30th - this release will also contain the footage of the "Kaze Kaoru Koro" event from May last year. I really recommend checking it out when it's released, 'cause the Sound Theatre was breathtaking and last year's event was absolutely hilarious - and the voice actors working on Natsume are just that amazing! (But I guess we already knew that. XD)

Hi everyone! Yesterday I went to see the seiyuu's event for Natsume Yuujinchou Go. You could apply for tickets with lottery slips that came with the DVDs. Sadly I didn't win tickets myself, but a friend ended up with extras, so I got to go anyways. I wrote up a little report of what went on during this epic three-hour talkshow / anime screening / concert event at my journal here! Sorry if it's a bit incoherent (I'm still dazed after all that awesomeness), but hopefully someone will enjoy reading it. ^^
Not sure what to tag this post, since there doesn't seem to be a tag for "events" or "seiyuu", and the comm won't let me add new ones... Oh well

Hey everyone,
Sorry to post so often in a row ^^; But the timing of this event was just so perfect that I'd really like to share. If you've been watching Natsume Yuujinchou Go, you'll probably have seen that the episode where Natsume acts as Matoba's shiki finally got animated last week! And the weekend immediately after, there was a massive cosplay event in Ikebukuro for Halloween, so I decided to take advantage of the timing and wear my Shiki!Natsume costume there.
I wasn't expecting to get any photos of myself, since I visited the event alone, but I'm surprised at how often people asked me for pictures, and even more surprised at the fact that I actually found some of them online! I got so many positive reactions, and got to talk to so many enthusiastic fellow fans - it seems like the new anime is very popular in Japan right now! That just makes me really happy to know. ^o^
Sadly I didn't run into any other Natsume Yuujinchou cosplay the day I went, but I hope you'll enjoy these few pictures of mine~

Hi everyone!
Are you all excited for the fifth season of the anime!? I sure am!
To get in to the mood, last week I traveled to Hitoyoshi city, in Kumamoto prefecture, which is the area where the mangaka, Midorikawa Yuki, is from, and where Natsume Yuujinchou takes place. Many locations which appear in the anime are based on real-life locations there. So for four days (the longest I could get off work =_=; ) , I went around looking for these locations, exploring them and taking photos. If anybody is interested, you can read my reports about this on my blog here:
Day 1: Setoishi station
Day 2: Amemiya Shrine and Hitoyoshi City
Day 3: Matsutani Valley and Okoba station
Day 4: Ichifusa Dam
As to what these locations represent...

Of course I can't take credit for actually 'finding' these locations in real life, because I mostly used these two Japanese blogs, and a guide map that was available at the Hitoyoshi station tourist information center, for reference. You can check those blogs for comparison screenshots between the anime and the real-life locations (I don't have the time to find and add screencaps to my posts ^^; ). But I thought maybe some of you here would be interested in reading a report in English about it.
I will also be visiting the Natsume Yuujincho Go pre-screening event tomorrow, and I'll probably write up a little report about that too soon after. So feel free to keep an eye on my journal if you're interested to find out a little about the new anime before it officially airs. >w<
