Folk dance ensembles within minority ethnic communities (Albanian, Bosniak, Montenegrin, Croatian... more Folk dance ensembles within minority ethnic communities (Albanian, Bosniak, Montenegrin, Croatian, Macedonian and Serbian) in Slovenia were formed in the 1990s, after the breakup of Yugoslavia. The authors present the key reasons for the folklore activities that contributed to the emergence of the so-called minority folk dance ensembles, describe their beginnings and how they eventually became organized, institutionalized, and integrated into the amateur culture system in Slovenia. The goal of minority folk dance ensembles is to dance for ethnic roots, but at the same time, the desire to enrich the cultural space in their new county and to integrate into society in which they live.

IZVLE^EK Prispevek predstavlja delovanje slovenskih folklornih skupin v diaspori, analizira zna~i... more IZVLE^EK Prispevek predstavlja delovanje slovenskih folklornih skupin v diaspori, analizira zna~ilnosti njihovega repertoarja in i{~e vzroke za odstopanja v primerjavi z njihovim delovanjem v mati~ni domovini. Na primeru folklorne skupine iz Severne Amerike namenja posebno obravnavo t. i. umetni{kim plesom, specifi~nim za diaspori~ne folklorne skupine. Gre za koreografije ob narodno-zabavni glasbi in v kostumski podobi t. i. narodnih no{. Te slovenski institucionalni okvirji zavra~ajo oziroma obravnavajo kot negativen pojav v folklorni dejavnosti, v diaspori~nih skupnostih (pri izvajalcih in ob~instvu) pa so pogosto prepoznane kot inherenten del njihovih folklornih nastopov. Po... more Clanek obravnava tekstualne in kontekstualne spremembe plesa in iger ob veliki noci v Metliki. Posebnost obravnavanega plesnega izrocila je petje pesmi ob plesu. Podatke o prvih spremembah segajo v leto 1888. Tudi pozneje so na performativnost vplivali tako angažirani posamezniki kot splosne družbeno-politicne razmere. V teh se je ritual za nekaj casa iz prvotnega casovno-prostorskega konteksta transformiral le v odrsko predstavitev, prav to preoblikovanje tradicije pa je omogocilo njen nadaljnji obstoj. *** The paper deals with textual and contextual changes in Easter dances and games in Metlika, Slovenia. A special feature of this dance tradition is singing songs as the only musical accompaniment to dancing. Research on the first changes in the Easter ritual dance date back to 1888. Avtor v članku analizira nekatere najpomembnejše spremembe, ki nastanejo pri zaznavanju zvočnega ... more Avtor v članku analizira nekatere najpomembnejše spremembe, ki nastanejo pri zaznavanju zvočnega posnetka zaradi neustrezne predvajalne hitrosti. Pri tem izpostavi predvajanje starih gramofonskih plošč z 78 o/min, saj je bila njihova frekvenca vrtenja standardizirana šele razmeroma pozno; pred tem so pri snemanju uporabljali različne vrednosti, ki so le izjemoma dokumentirane in jih je zato potrebno oceniti iz drugih virov.

Folk dance ensembles within minority ethnic communities (Albanian, Bosniak, Montenegrin, Croatian... more Folk dance ensembles within minority ethnic communities (Albanian, Bosniak, Montenegrin, Croatian, Macedonian and Serbian) in Slovenia were formed in the 1990s, after the breakup of Yugoslavia.
