AR-talk and AR-forum - Apologetics, religious cults and sects, doctrines and practices (original) (raw)
The primary purpose of the AR-talk mailing list is to identify and share apologetics resources.
AR-talk's value is in providing busy religion professionals with brief, accurate descriptions of those resources.
A companion list, AR-forum allows for extended discussion of the resources presented.
Both lists complement the Apologia Report research journal.
Overall, this is one of the most useful places to locate apologetics research resources. That said, a couple of buyer-beware's are in order:
It should be noted that membership on these lists is open to anyone - regardless of religious affiliation. The list has included (or does include) members of the Church of Scientology, and of cults of Christianity such as Oneness Pentecostalism, Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh-day Adventism.
While the list is open to subscribers from around the world, a small but vocal minority of American subscribers has at times mad sure that the list remains politically correct (i.e. a conservative America-centered worldview).
