NC-37 (original) (raw)
This is the complete description of the cell line that you selected. By clicking on a generic term (e.g., SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding index (e.g., index of species), while by clicking on a specific term (e.g., retinoblastoma) you will go to the list of corresponding cell lines (e.g., retionoblastoma cell lines).

RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Maintain cultures between 4-5x100,000 cells/ml; Maximum cell density is 2x1,000,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C.
Karyotype: 2n = 46
Derived from peripheral blood of a normal 34 year male Caucasian. Each cell has an average 60 EBV genome copies. Cells have been used in EBV superinfection studies in addition to chemical induction of the EBV genome. They are EBNA positive. The cells should be handled under laboratory containment level 2.
