DMEM or RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Maintain cultures between 5x10,000 to 3x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C. Cells will achieve maximum cell density of 5x100,000 cells/ml.
Karyotype: Aneuploidy
Derived from the P3X27 cell line, itself a derivative of mineral oil-induced plasmacytoma MOPC-21 in BALB/c mice. Resistant to 20�g/ml azaguanine, does not grow in selective medium. HGPRT neg., dies in HAT. Doubling time 16-26 h.
