PAB-100 (original) (raw)
This is the complete description of the cell line that you selected. By clicking on a generic term (e.g., SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding index (e.g., index of species), while by clicking on a specific term (e.g., retinoblastoma) you will go to the list of corresponding cell lines (e.g., retionoblastoma cell lines).
PAB-100 (mouse / mouse, hybridoma)
SPECIES: mouse / mouse
TUMOR: hybridoma
DSMZ catalog code: ACC 188
Morphology: single cells growing in suspension
Description: mouse hybridoma (anti-SV40 large T viral antigen) established by fusion of NS-1 myeloma cells and spleen cells from a female BALB/c mouse immunized with SVT-2, an SV40-transformed BALB/c mouse cell line; cells reportedly secrete an IgG 1 antibody recognizing denaturation-sensitive antigenic determinants unique to large T antigen confirmed as mouse with IEF of AST, NP, PEP B
Viruses: ELISA: reverse transcriptase positive
Depositor: Dr. H. G. Drexler, DSMZ, Braunschweig, Germany
General Restrictions
Available in the following LABORATORY:
- German Collection of Microorganisms and Cell Cultures (DSMZ, Braunschweig)
80% Dulbecco's MEM + 20% FBS + non-essential amino acids optimal split ratio 1:2 every 2-3 days; maximum density of about 1.0 x 106 cells/ml should not be exceeded at 37C with 5% CO2 cell harvest of about 0.5-1.0 x 106 cells/ml; frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at about 5 x 106 cells/ampoule; negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization assays;
Validated by: cytogenetics 1 (140(134-155); predominantly mouse chromosomal morphology with 3 iso-chromosome markers present in most cells) * reverse transcriptase (reverse transcriptase negative)
Availability in cell line catalogues: ATCC: TIB 115
