Billing alarm

In the following sample, Amazon CloudWatch sends an email notification when charges to your AWS account exceed the alarm threshold. To receive usage notifications, enable billing alerts. CPU utilization alarm

The following sample snippet creates an alarm that sends a notification when the average CPU utilization of an Amazon EC2 instance exceeds 90 percent for more than 60 seconds over three evaluation periods.

Recover an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud instance
