Hello,
I would like to extract video frames as .png images thanks to mplayer (under Windows XP), and I was advised to type: "C:/Program Files/MPlayer/mplayer.exe" -vo png essai.avi Unfortunately, when I type this line, I get the error message : Error opening/initializing the selected videoout (-vo) device. Can anyone please help me to solve this problem?
Make sure your MPlayer binary has been compiled with png support. It looks to me like it isn't.

Just because code is syntactically "valid" GNU C doesn't mean gcc can always compile it. Steven Bosscher - 2005-01-01 http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=11203#c14
