You meant WONTFIX I presume? In any case, the RM is CCed so let's wait for his ruling.

In general, compile-time performance regressions are regressions like any other.

Had I seen this patch a few weeks ago, I would have approved it for 4.1.2. However, since I'm all set to build the 4.1.2 release tonight -- pending an unforeseen showstopper -- please put this on hold. After the 4.1.2 release is out, this is OK for the 4.1 branch.
