MPI_Pack_size function - Message Passing Interface (original) (raw)
Returns the upper bound on the amount of space needed to pack a message.
Syntax
int MPIAPI MPI_Pack_size(
int incount,
MPI_Datatype datatype,
MPI_Comm comm,
_Out_ int *size
);
Parameters
- incount
Count argument to packing call. - datatype
Datatype argument to packing call. - comm
Communicator argument to packing call. - size [out]
Upper bound on size of packed message, in bytes.
Return value
Returns MPI_SUCCESS on success. Otherwise, the return value is an error code.
In Fortran, the return value is stored in the IERROR parameter.
