Are there any plans for supporting any standardised messages on resume from suspend / hibernate. I have provided a pm-util script that will send a DeviceKit.Power event on resume but it haven't recieved any love at all :) It would be very much needed for XBMC as we want resume to act almost like a complete start (i.e scan folders for changes and such on resume).
Maybe I'm not completely understanding the situation, but are you sure that's necessary? Hotpluggable devices can appear or disappear between a sleep and wakeup, and the desktop stack will get notification of that as expected, and any other directories shouldn't change over a sleep/resume cycle, should they? As such, what would be the justification for rescanning a directory, unless that directory happens to be just created by mounting a removable device that appeared during the sleep / resume cycle?
