In talking with some people, they still think name like org.freedesktop.UDisks is a little project specific and might cause some misunderstandings.
It ought to be project specific; all D-Bus services are, precisely for the reason that you can tell them apart.
However, for a D-Bus interface you can consider the name as a "specification identifier" instead of an "implementation identifier". If there was an udisks-bsd, it would be fine to use the same interface name.
