The following JEP is proposed to target JDK 11:

335: Deprecate the Nashorn JavaScript Engine http://openjdk.java.net/jeps/335 Feedback on this proposal is more than welcome, as are reasoned objections. If no such objections are raised by 23:00 UTC on Tuesday, 26 June, or if they're raised and then satisfactorily answered, then per the JEP 2.0 process proposal [1] I'll target this JEP to JDK 11.

Hearing no objections, I’ve targeted this JEP to JDK 11.

As I noted in a previous message [1], there’s still plenty of time for others to step up to take on the maintenance of Nashorn after JDK 11. This JEP will only deprecate Nashorn -- it won’t remove it.
