I posted an offer earlier this week to debian-science to help work on
numpy packages (but got no response). NumPy might be adopted much
more rapidly once it has official packages in Debian and Ubuntu. I'm
glad you're in control of the situation; now I can now quietly
withdraw my offer ;)
