If the community can rally behind one of these, I think that would be acceptable. They all seem arbitrary, but so is the choice of '@'. :-)

How about '%'? This:

 %classmethod

looks more like some kind of pragma or compiler directive to me than '@', which looks more like some kind of documentation.
