Like many things PHP, that seems a bit too magical for my tastes. Not only does it fall back to documentation, it falls back to a search for documentation if there isn't a function of that name. It's a convenient feature, I'm sure people would use it if it was there... even if it was something like http://python.org/doc/name
Yes. Either that or docs.python.org/... would be nice.
(alongside with the "custom markers" I proposed one time so that there can be "speaking" URLs like
docs.python.org/mutable-default-arguments
