Yes, I know. Hence this not being a patch. This is really meant to be a compelling alternative to cmd.Cmd, and as such I'm trying to get some discussion about it.

Just so you know, there is a basic rule that all new modules need to have been used in the while and generally accepted and used by the Python community before being accepted. While this is not a hard rule, it is mostly followed so if there is no visible use of the module by the rest of the world it will be difficult to get it accepted. -Brett
