Agreed. pysqlite is solid and widely accepted, and AFAIK has no competition.
but only because things like ElementTree didn't, either. Does it need a BDFL pronouncement? I'd say yes.
If Guido even cares ;), but if not, RM pronouncement is good enough for me.
