Someone could run Solaris x86 inside a hosted virtual machine and make it available to the Python developers. Is it possible to find similar hosting for HP-UX and AIX? Or might IBM or HP be willing to donate a low-end machine to the PSF for porting use? You can test HPUX and VMS with a (free) HP Testdrive account (along with a bunch of Linuxes and *BSDs) on various hardware platforms. I used it extensively when doing portability testing of another project. http://www.testdrive.hp.com/ Charles
I'm doing that. From time to time, these systems are a pain to use IMO.
A buildbot is soooo much better...
