As it basically said "I will ignore everything everyone ever will say on this issue, and if you don't think I should do that, then you should ignore me", I find the request very reasonable. I wish more people would advertise that they not only know about the facts of the matter but completely ignore them. It's basically a big sign saying "LALALALIMNOTLISTENING", which would shorten a lot of internet debates if it was more widely used. :-)
