Wow... I don't think challenging others to "strip you of your responsibilities" is a reasonable way to address criticism. And for the record, it's not my objection; several other core developers have said -1 too: Ezio, Serhiy, Giampaolo, etc.
You can also count me as -1: the context manager looks like it ignores the exception, whereas it does not: you exit immediatly the block when the exception occurs. It's maybe an issue with the name.
Like Antoine, I'm not sure that we need a new context manage to save 2 lines.
