Yes, you do. Maybe not you personally, but number of people here on this list (for F...k sake, this is for DEVELOPERS of the langauge, not some bloody users!) for whom the current suggestion is just the way how to avoid Unicode and keep all those broken script which barfs at me all the time alive is quit non-zero I am afraid.
