Also, have you considered using Travis? It would allow us to add to the configurations, at least generally...

It sounds like a good idea in principle, but I suspect there would be a lot of devils in those details. That doesn't make it a bad idea, just something that would need a volunteer to investigate further before we could form a real opinion.
