I prefer focusing on getting math.isclose() in before tackling cmath.isclose(), though it would indeed be very straightforward given the work already done. Larry has stated he's willing to make an exception to the "no new features" rule for this, so I think we should have time to get the cmath version in for 3.5 even if we wait a few days with it. So if you have time, I'd prefer that you thoroughly review the patch.
