Same here. I get a "0x80240017 error" during installation.

Wearing my webmaster hat I talked to somebody who had this error with their windows 8.1 install. They wrote back that they had found this on the net and following the sequence of things to do called 'Method 1'in http://wind8apps.com/error-0x80240017-windows/

fixed things for them.
