Hello,
I think readers of this mailing-list could be interested in the vote's results, which have been published just today: https://discuss.python.org/t/python-governance-vote-december-2018-results/546/13
In short, PEP 8016 ("The Steering Council Model", by Nathaniel and Donald) will define how Python development operates going forward. I encourage people to read the long-form results at the URL above, since the detailed rankings provide valuable information about the committers' overall preference as well.
The next step will probably be to elect the first Steering Council: https://discuss.python.org/t/organizing-the-council-elections/549
That election again will be reserved to Python committers.
Regards
Antoine.
