The PEP was posted here: https://github.com/python/peps/pull/776 https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0582/ To my knowledge it hasn't been discussed on python-dev yet.

Nope, I assume because there is no one to actually approve it so there's no point it discussing it yet. :)
