Slightly Off-Topic, but more relevant for python developers. Paramiko also had a very similar vulnerability: https://github.com/paramiko/paramiko/issues/1283.

AFAIK, this doesn't have any to do with OpenSSH, which practically everyone uses on Unix. Regards Antoine.
