Hello all, I'm pleased to announce the immediate availability of Python 2.7.16 for download at https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-2716/.
The only change since the release candidate was a fix for the IDLE icon on macOS. See https://bugs.python.org/issue32129. Refer to the changelog for a full list of changes: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/python/cpython/v2.7.16/Misc/NEWS.d/2.7.16rc1.rst
