So my question is, can we use/add attribute(deprecated) in our "development" kit?
There is already Py_DEPRECATED(VERSION_UNUSED) macro which uses attribute((deprecated)) on GCC >= 3.1.
You can find the doc of a few macros in https://docs.python.org/dev/c-api/intro.html#useful-macros but this macro isn't documented there.
pyport.h and pymacro.h contain most of the "macros".
