   difftime - calculate time difference

SYNOPSIS top

   **#include <time.h>**

   **double difftime(time_t** _time1_**, time_t** _time0_**);**

DESCRIPTION top

   The **difftime**() function returns the number of seconds elapsed
   between time _time1_ and time _time0_, represented as a _double_.  Each
   time is a count of seconds.

   _difftime(b, a)_ acts like _(b-a)_ except that the result does not
   overflow and is rounded to _double_.
