NAME top

   sigdelset — delete a signal from a signal set

SYNOPSIS top

   #include <signal.h>

   int sigdelset(sigset_t *_set_, int _signo_);

DESCRIPTION top

   The _sigdelset_() function deletes the individual signal specified
   by _signo_ from the signal set pointed to by _set_.

   Applications should call either _sigemptyset_() or _sigfillset_() at
   least once for each object of type **sigset_t** prior to any other use
   of that object. If such an object is not initialized in this way,
   but is nonetheless supplied as an argument to any of
   _pthreadsigmask_(), _sigaction_(), _sigaddset_(), _sigdelset_(),
   _sigismember_(), _sigpending_(), _sigprocmask_(), _sigsuspend_(),
   _sigtimedwait_(), _sigwait_(), or _sigwaitinfo_(), the results are
   undefined.

RETURN VALUE top

   Upon successful completion, _sigdelset_() shall return 0; otherwise,
   it shall return -1 and set _[errno](../man3/errno.3.html)_ to indicate the error.

ERRORS top

   The _sigdelset_() function may fail if:

   **EINVAL** The _signo_ argument is not a valid signal number, or is an
          unsupported signal number.
