wcscat(3) Library Functions Manual wcscat(3)
NAME top
wcscat - concatenate two wide-character strings
LIBRARY top
Standard C library (_libc_, _-lc_)
SYNOPSIS top
**#include <wchar.h>**
**wchar_t *wcscat(wchar_t *restrict** _dest_**, const wchar_t *restrict** _src_**);**
DESCRIPTION top
The **wcscat**() function is the wide-character equivalent of the
[strcat(3)](../man3/strcat.3.html) function. It copies the wide-character string pointed
to by _src_, including the terminating null wide character (L'\0'),
to the end of the wide-character string pointed to by _dest_.
The strings may not overlap.
The programmer must ensure that there is room for at least
_wcslen(dest)_+_wcslen(src)_+1 wide characters at _dest_.
RETURN VALUE top
**wcscat**() returns _dest_.
ATTRIBUTES top
For an explanation of the terms used in this section, see
