wcscmp(3) Library Functions Manual wcscmp(3)
NAME top
wcscmp - compare two wide-character strings
LIBRARY top
Standard C library (_libc_, _-lc_)
SYNOPSIS top
**#include <wchar.h>**
**int wcscmp(const wchar_t ***_s1_**, const wchar_t ***_s2_**);**
DESCRIPTION top
The **wcscmp**() function is the wide-character equivalent of the
[strcmp(3)](../man3/strcmp.3.html) function. It compares the wide-character string pointed
to by _s1_ and the wide-character string pointed to by _s2_.
RETURN VALUE top
The **wcscmp**() function returns zero if the wide-character strings
at _s1_ and _s2_ are equal. It returns an integer greater than zero
if at the first differing position _i_, the corresponding wide-
character _s1[i]_ is greater than _s2[i]_. It returns an integer less
than zero if at the first differing position _i_, the corresponding
wide-character _s1[i]_ is less than _s2[i]_.
