wmemcpy(3) Library Functions Manual wmemcpy(3)

NAME top

wmemcpy - copy an array of wide-characters

LIBRARY top

   Standard C library (_libc_, _-lc_)

SYNOPSIS top

   **#include <wchar.h>**

   **wchar_t *wmemcpy(wchar_t** _dest_**[restrict .**_n_**],**
                    **const wchar_t** _src_**[restrict .**_n_**],**
                    **size_t** _n_**);**

DESCRIPTION top

The **wmemcpy**() function is the wide-character equivalent of the
[memcpy(3)](../man3/memcpy.3.html) function. It copies _n_ wide characters from the array
starting at _src_ to the array starting at _dest_.

The arrays may not overlap; use [wmemmove(3)](../man3/wmemmove.3.html) to copy between
   overlapping arrays.

The programmer must ensure that there is room for at least _n_ wide
   characters at _dest_.

RETURN VALUE top

   **wmemcpy**() returns _dest_.

ATTRIBUTES top

For an explanation of the terms used in this section, see
