Mad Creek Books is the literary and trade imprint of The Ohio State University Press. With a mission to foster creativity, innovate, and illuminate, Mad Creek Books champions diverse and creative literary writing. A platform for artistic, daring, and innovative literary books—in nonfiction, fiction, and poetry—books on the imprint will push boundaries, explore new areas, and generate new ideas. Mad Creek Books is a place for exciting literary work and publishes writers from all experiences and backgrounds, representing the true diversity of the literary landscape.

Book series on the imprint include Machete, 21st Century Essays (which includes the annual Gournay Prize), Latinographix, and The Journal Non/Fiction and Poetry annual prize series. We also publish books outside of these series. All submissions should come through Submittable, but for other queries about the imprint or series, please email madcreekbooks@osu.edu.
