torch.ceil — PyTorch 2.7 documentation (original) (raw)
torch.ceil(input, *, out=None) → Tensor¶
Returns a new tensor with the ceil of the elements of input
, the smallest integer greater than or equal to each element.
For integer inputs, follows the array-api convention of returning a copy of the input tensor.
outi=⌈inputi⌉\text{out}_{i} = \left\lceil \text{input}_{i} \right\rceil
Parameters
input (Tensor) – the input tensor.
Keyword Arguments
out (Tensor, optional) – the output tensor.
Example:
a = torch.randn(4) a tensor([-0.6341, -1.4208, -1.0900, 0.5826]) torch.ceil(a) tensor([-0., -1., -1., 1.])
