CeREs [NASA Goddard]
CeREs (Compact Radiation Belt Explorer) is a 3U CubeSat mission developed by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.
The satellite is to measure radiation belt energization and loss electron spectra, and microbursts. The sondary objective is to measure solar electron spectra from < 5 keV. The instrument is MERiT (Miniaturized Electron and Proton Telescope).
The satellite wil be launched as a piggy-back paylaod into an high inclination LEO for one year of data taking.
It was selected in 2014 by NASA's CubeSat Launch Initiative (CSLI) to be launched as part of the ELaNa program. It was launched on the ELaNa-19 mission.
