Showing the beautiful restoration on the belvedere and the lantern, that has just been completed using gold leaf.
The lantern prior to repair was in a very poor state, with a lot of the internal timbers needing replacing to cope with the 10 ton weight of the structure. A lot of this weight coming from the roof which was constructed of cast iron.
