Looking up to the top of the tower from ¾ up the stairwell. The 2 girders that span the top would originally have held the floor of the viewing chamber.
There are no other floors inside just the rather narrow stairwell below.
The stairwell consists of 66 concrete steps just cast into the wall with no other means of support, and as the handrail is missing in several places, it is in a fairly dangerous state.
Looking down to the bottom you can see the accumulated rubbish that has gathered.
The view from the top looking out over the City of Bath, taken while standing on one of the two spanning girders, all that now sadly remains of the original top floor.
