The Largest Salvation Army Communities
The Salvation Army is a worldwide religious denomination and philanthropical organization. Its innovative methods, especially in inner cities, have influenced evangelical and charitable work throughout the world and in numerous religious denominations.
The Salvationists are perhaps best known for their brass bands, uniformed officers, and Christmastime fund-raising using bell-ringers. The missionaries featured in the Broadway musical Guys and Dolls were Salvationists.
