U15 celebrates tournament victory in Ilshofen
Great triumph for the U15 of FC Bayern! At the internationally highly occupied BWK Arena Cup in Ilshofen, the team of coach Peter Wenninger celebrated the first place on the weekend. The FCB was able to convince both sides of the tournament and were able to choose their games for themselves. In the preliminary round the Munich Bayer Leverkusen, 1. FC Kaiserslauitern, Eintracht Frankfurt and Galatasaray Istanbul defeated 2-0 respectively. In the second half of the season, the visitors won against Borussia Mönchengladbach (4-2) and Basel (3-0). In the quarter-finals and semifinals, the Bavarians retained the upper hand against 1. FC Nürnberg (4-2) and 1. FSV Mainz 05 (2-0) respectively. The final against Bayer Leverkusen decided FCB 3: 2 for themselves.
Malik Tillman was awarded as the top scorer and best player of the tournament. "Great compliment to the team! The tournament victory is absolutely deserved, the team showed great achievements, "Wenninger was satisfied with the appearance of his proteges.

2: 3 defeat for U15 against Deggendorf
The U15 had to take on a Saturday afternoon afternoon a test play. Against the U16 of the SpVgg GW Deggendorf lost the team of coach Peter Wenninger on the Säbener road with 2: 3. In the twelfth minute Malik Tillman brought the FCB in front, eight minutes later Deggendorf equalized. Moritz Mosandl scored 30 minutes to the 2: 1 break for the Munich team. The guests were able to turn the game by two late goals (65/79) but still in their favor. "We have left a number of major opportunities unused and, at the end, defended too lightly," said Wenninger.

An angry defeat had to take the U15 on Saturday. At the kickers of the Stuttgarter Kickers, the Munich team lost 1: 3. The FCB fell short of the break through a penalty kick. After the side change the Stuttgarter increased first from a side position and then met an indirect free-kick after a supposed back pass to the 0: 3. As a result, the Bavarians threw everything into the balance, Malik Tillman shortened to 1: 3. Among other things, the FCB failed twice on the bar. "The defeat is very bitter and also caused by questionable refereeing decisions. In the first half we showed too little. That is disappointing. We had called him into our program at a pretty young age, and now he's switching back. I'm not blaming him, but it is certainly a blow to our '02 group if we are waiting to see if he's good enough for Germany or not. 11.

He's moved up to the Bayern U-16's for the last few weeks of the season. He benched the U-16 top scorer for the last few games of the season by moving up and starting the last few games. I suspect he'll mostly play with the U-16's next season, and could get a few games with the U-17's, but he's an '02, so he'd be ahead of the curve if he's appearing with the U-17's next season. He appears to be a very good player, as well. I believe he's a striker. 12.

I have generally seen Tillman listed as a forward or attacker, but over the last few games for Bayern U17 he has played CM a 4-2-3-1 next to the team's DM and captain, Angelo Stiller.

had a feeling that the reason that Malik Tillman was not in the US camp was because he's in the German one.

The 2019 U17 ECQ are in Spring 2019, so between now and then, over a year, he's still not provisionally cap tied to either country.
I do wonder whether the Tillman brothers will end up being the Parkers 2.0. 19.

Malik Tillman has made the final squad for the German U16 as we play in the UEFA Development Tournament, where Germany will face off vs Portugal, Italy and the Netherlands between Feb 8-12.
