Anytime I am going to travel somewhere I find this and the original thread to perform research... 6. panicfc

I'll add another one in Nashville - Five Points, but the one in the western part of town. The one in the East Side is too difficult to park.

Knoxville - one of my new favorites - Empire Pizza. NY Style, super light crust. Excellent cheese to toppings ratio. It is bad for my diet, but I go there for work at least once a month, and i can't skip it. Especially since work pays for it :)

Birmingham - nice Chicago style - Tortuga's. Two locations.

Post Office Pies - Birmingham - good place. Homemade sausages.

Chicago:
Deep dish

Pequod's
Gino's East
then Lou Malnati's.

But, they have a New Haven style place - Piece,it's a brewery with great pizza. This place is wicked awesome. 7. Dr. Wankler

Oldest post I ever quoted

Three great places within a mile of my house, one okay place, and one . . . Not good. The okay place has a "cheeseburger pizza" that, in addition to the normal stuff, has American cheese, ground beef, and pickles.

It works pretty well. 8. panicfc

I will not do American cheese on pizza. It makes me ill.
But you can put that in a calzone and I think it would be okay, but I'd prefer cheddar. 9. Dr. Wankler

Only American "cheese" is terrible. That this has real cheese helps it, IMO. 10. msilverstein47
